Bernie’s campaign is founded on bringing in outsiders to the system. The problem is that many of those are angry and low-information voters, who believe what they are told. I have watched this campaign going from beginning to (now) the end. At various times, supporters have said or done:

- Southern voters are low information.
- Red states don’t count (unless they vote for Bernie).
- Voter suppression and voter disenfranchisement in NY, AZ!
- Bill Clinton stole the election in MA.
- Q: Where are the tax returns? A: Where are the transcripts!
- We will flip super delegates by calling and harassing them.
- NV convention debacle
- Voicemails, death threats, and threatening people’s kids.

Why? Did they come up with it on their on? Or has the push for fundraising made Bernie’s campaign rhetoric more flammable and people are responding in-kind?
The nature of Bernie’s campaign isn’t a bug, it is a feature. And it starts at the top.
Time to ratchet down the rhetoric and reign in your campaign’s worst instinct Bernie. If you care about uniting the party and defeating Trump.
